Rusting old Dubs and rat look VWs make for great photos and - taking it a stage further - paintings, which is exactly what ‘Sleeping Beauties' is all about.
The project is focused on producing watercolour renditions of ‘resting' VWs, be they barn finds, stuck in a desert or buried in a swamp.
You can check out their products at: www.sleepingbeauties.co.uk
But, if you fancy your chances of wining some of their fantastic art you can do so by checking out the February 2010 issue of VW Camper&Bus (on sale 14 January) and taking part in the competition.
Here is what you need to know:
Sleeping Beauties want you to send in pictures of abandoned Dubs. In return, two lucky winners will receive the originals of the first two paintings completed from among the entries submitted. Each of the paintings will be followed by a limited run of 500 prints. Maybe you have some great shots from when you discovered your present ride, prior to restoration? What better way to remember all the blood, sweat and tears that took your VW from duff Dub to its present finished masterpiece?
So get digging through your old photos, pick up a copy of VW Camper&Bus on the 14 Jan and fill in the competition form. Then all you need to do is send it together with your photo to the address given in the mag!

Have your say!
