In true art department style, we've got the project bus lowered before we've even got it drivable. But hey, these are minor details, right?
If you're about to tackle the same job on your Type 25, then you need to get your hands on a copy of our first issue of 'Keeping Your Bus Alive'. In there we give you all the help and tips you'll need to get your bus lowered in a matter of hours

Following an uncomfortable weekend in the panzerfaust Bay Window, the key word with this lowering job, had to be comfort. So although pricey, we elected to go for a set of 55mm dropped H&R springs and Bilstein shocks from Simon at The Brickyard (www.brickwerks.co.uk) to get the bus where we wanted it.
Now we have the impossible task of deciding which wheels would best suit the shape of our T25. Obviously there are loads on the market which we'll be covering in our product focus on wheels coming soon - but here we've narrowed down our choice to a few firm favourites of our own

Just Kampers (www.justkampers.com) 15 x 5.5inch wide Wolfrace BRM wheel - which you have to agree, is a wheel that really suits the Type25. Excusing the bad photoshop work, you get an idea what they will look like, including the 55mm drop but still with original tyres.
OR WHAT ABOUT THESE:

Here, the new kid on the block from ZCW wheels (www.wfaw.co.uk). The Angel wheel in 17 or 18 inch by 7.5 wide. Which is getting close to the limit of what we could get away with on a 55mm drop. This wheel is available as above or the equally interesting Black finish.
THEN AGAIN, WHAT ABOUT:

The ever popular 7 x 17 inch Fuch from Midland Wheel supplies (www.midlandwheels.com) definately hits that retro mark, and is still relatively under used on Type 25's.
Let us know what you think, on the poll below and help shed some light on which direction we should go. But remember, all these wheels and many more will be in the 'Wheel special' of Camper&Bus magazine coming soon
