Not as it stands no. Thats why we enlisted the help from some pros to get ensure we got the project out on time and I didn't have to hand over money to our leader (Ivan) for a lost in house gamble.

VW Curtains in Nottingham (www.vwcurtains.com) were responsible for sorting out the privacy issues if we ever got to the point where we were sleeping in the bus. From a choice of hundreds of different fabrics, colours and finishes we picked a subtle Ivory thick weave to compliment the top colour of it's two tone paintwork. And while they made the curtains up we carried on with the Walnut laminate to replace the old cabinet frontage.
The cabinets themselves were still strong but after years of chopping about, a new 16mm hardwood front would give the interior the look I was after. S.L.Hardwoods in Croydon Surrey (www.slhardwoods.co.uk) do all the cool new finishes for about £58 for a 8ft x 4ft sheet. I was aiming for a less than period perfect late bay westy style with the walnut finish. And 16mmthick soI could literally just use the old frontage as a template to slot the new piece straight in.

The rock and roll bed had obviously seen some action from the previous four owners of the bus but nothing to difficult to deal with. The peeling rubberised finish had to be removed with a wire wheel drill attachment as I know it's a shot blasters pet hate, as the beads just bounce straight off it without even cutting into the coating. A solid few hours got it back to shiny bare metal ready for the westy/devon mid brown paint to be sprayed back over.

At 70pence per tile by far the quickest, cheapest and most beneficial improvement to my interior has to be the installation of a Madmatz tiled floor. (www.madmatz.org). Layed in a matter of hours the Ivory and cocoa tiles bring the interior back to life. Although Madmatz offer an installation service I found it a relatively simple task with their guidance.
Before all this goes back in though a thorough rust proofing with Frost products (www.frost.co.uk) and clean up followed by the installation of some NoiseKiller sound proofing (www.noisekiller.co.uk). A much cheaper alternative to Dynamat the noise killer matting is fitted in much the same way.
Although never going to be a SoundPressureLevel (S.P.L) car I wanted to fit their kit at this stage in case I ever wanted to switch to a noisier Subaru engine that I've been umming and ahhing about, at a later date.
So as you can see if I miss the deadline it isn't through want of trying as I've been up to my neck in work on the bus, I hope you like the results. Tarah for now
