Problem being the only aircooling going on in it was fresh air wafting around it's gills as it lay outside my lockup desperately looking for a replacement engine and box.
Well a weekend away up north sourced me all I needed to fill the empty void in the engine bay. Yep, despite them becoming rare as hens teeth, Our man Mick Crowe at NWVW near Southport, had a weber converted 2.0litre aircooled engine and auto box that should slot straight in.
Check out our progress over the coming weeks as I'll be on this in order to get it all up and running by the time this years ‘Camp Bestival' show comes around (end of July)

I have one of these which unfortunately is starting to show signs of age. Mine is a 2 ltr air cooled manual gear box.. Will there be more details of the refurbishment in the magazine? Not just pictures. All the best.

looking forward to more, bought a 1980 2l aircooled devon last week, it's rough but it's mine ripped the insides out, fitted a radio and need to change gearbox mount to stop the judder.
