Back in the 60s, VW recognised that the Beetle's front beam lacked the level of stiffness needed for off-road activities or sportier driving styles.

To address this, VW developed original equipment braces that fixed the ends of the beam to the floorpan, reducing the level of flex. Purveyors of superb performance parts, CSP has now started reproducing these braces, which can be used with either K&L or ball-joint front ends and have a hard-wearing powdercoated finish.
