Vintage Speed exhaust system

New stainless steel exhaust from Vintage Speed in Taiwan

Cool exhaust that keeps the original look but enhances your performance

Based in Taiwan, Vintage Speed is an up and coming company catering for the air-cooled VW. You may have seen them at the VolksWorld Show this year!
This is where we first saw their new exhaust system.
Made from stainless steel the system is a neat unit that combines good looks and performance in one. It is designed to fit in place of the standard system, using the rear valance cut-outs, but certainly looks a lot beefier and solves a lot of the clearance issues some after market performance exhaust suffer from.
Vintage Speed have spent a lot of time getting the most from this product and tested it thoroughly - they even have figures showing an increase in performance. Plus it sounds really good too!
The header system is also stainless but has been sand blasted to dissipate heat more efficiently. The pipes are all of equal length (better performance) and collect into the muffler via original style Type 4 8mm flanges. Another point worthy of note is the tapped holes in the muffler for use with O2 Lambda sensors for the more sophisticated fuel-injection set-ups.
The system is available in a dual pipe or single pipe form and thus can fit Beetles (inc Mexican), Karmann Ghias and Buses with Type 1 engines.
