Here's a problem solver that is certain to make life a lot easier for anyone running an early Swing or IRS gearbox case.

In the earlier set-up the clutch release bearing just kind of hangs in limbo supported by a simple clip on either side. When one or both of the clips pops off or fails (which does happen) the bearing and other parts aren't far behind and can mash your pressure plate.
This new conversion kit from Rancho Performance Transaxles permanently eliminates those problems by allowing you to fit the late style set-up into an early case. The supplied collar and seal press easily and securely into the case keeping the late style bearing cantered on the pressure plate. The Rancho kit also includes a late style crosshaft, bushings and spring, giving you everything you need to make your release bearing much more reliable.
