Do you often wonder how hot your oil temperature is running but don't want to install a gauge and ruin your stock look? Or do you have a sociable oil pressure light that likes to say hello once in a while? The best bet, without drilling holes in the body to mount that gauge, is to use this temperature dipstick for Type 1 motors, Porsche 356/912 or Porsche 914/912 T4 motors. A quick look under the engine lid and you will know exactly how hot your oil is! Available from BFY Obsolete Parts at $49.95 www.bfyobsoleteparts.com

This thermometer is way over priced. You can buy a Polder 511 candy thermometer from Amazon for $7. I use it on my bug, and it works great.
