If you have a sizeable engine and want to give your gearbox some extra support coping with heavy launches off the line, but don't particularly want to be welding in solid mounts, then this could be the solution for you!

Street Style & Power stocks an alternative intermediate mount that doesn't require any welding. It simply bolts on to the gearbox casing and presses against the underside of the frame horns, using two urethane bushes, to reduce gearbox twist and nose lift when launching hard. The mount comes in raw metal, so it will need to be painted and you will also have to purchase some longer studs to fit it to the gearbox, just like any intermediate mount. Not only is this version easier to instal, but it is a lot easier on the wallet too!
