VW Beetle model by Jada Toys
Made by Jada Toys, these Vee Dubs are available from ACM Collectables and are really cool. The range includes a stock Beetle, slammed Treker and pimped-up Squareback, so there is a style to appeal to everyone.
Our favourite has to be the Beetle. It is based on an actual car built by Pete Skiba at Airkewld in Arizona and comes complete with a swamp cooler and a set of Fuchs to replace the stock rims. It has a shorter axle and a stinger exhaust for you to bolt on, and you can even adjust the camber! How cool is that?
This range of die-cast models is in a 1:24 scale and the detail inside is pretty good. Open the doors and you can see small details, such as the speedo, dash radio and speakers. Under the bonnet you will find the usual fuel tank and spare wheel, while in the boot, you will find a twin carb'd engine and, depending on the model, Porsche cooling. These will make ideal gifts, but if you're like us, you will want to keep them for yourself!
