Ace Cafe
Recently, attendance has been so poor that the management is considering giving the night to other vehicle enthusiasts, for example, making it a Ford night.
Rikki James doesn't want to lose this venue, as it took a lot of effort to get it and set up. It is a fantastic place to meet up and has great facilities, even if the weather is bad. Yet all will be lost if the attendance numbers do not improve.
Numbers at the recent SSVC Swap Meets, held at the ACE, have been low, due to poor advertising and incorrect dates being published, but all this has now been put right.
If you want to keep a VW night at the Ace Café, the ball is in your court. The next SSVC's Autumn Swap meet will be held at the Ace Café on Saturday, 10 November from 10 am to 4pm. Let's make this a big one and show that we intend to keep this venue!
Finally, Rikki would like to thank all the T4 owners for their excellent support at the Ace throughout the long, cold winter months. At least 10 of you always go to keep the tumbleweeds away!

I hear ya. I'm the vp of Humbugs, and air cooled club in northern Humboldt county in California. We started with about 80 members over 3 years ago and nopw we have 15 or 20 show up to once a month meetings and we even have some meets at different restaurants, whats up with that.. I was born and raised for the 1st 8 years of my life in Olham. Other that giving a $100 bill to every member that shows up for a meet, im not sure what to tell u, but for the sake of all air cooled vw everywhere, stay with it, and tell your club from me in the USA to get off their bums and attend the meetings........bugdoc
