Last year we featured a range of new watches designed and sold by a company in Germany called Bavarian Crono Technology.

These watches featured a VW speedo face, complete with year indicator (in the milometer), and had all the details relevant to a particular model of speedo. Up until now, the range available was for Beetles from 1949, right up to the 1303.
Well, now they have produced a couple of new watches for Karmann Ghia and Bus fans. The KG version matches the speedo you would find in a '66 model, while the Bus one is from a 1961 Split Screen. These make very quirky gifts for any VW fan. They are very good quality, are made in stainless steel, have a leather strap and match the speedos perfectly. Each watch has a Ronda Swiss-made Quartz mechanism, so it will remain accurate for many years to come. In total, there are now nine different watches to choose from, but the Karmann Ghia and Bus ones cost 249 euros and 155 euros respectively. Each watch is delivered in a special handmade aluminium cylinder styled like a VW engine piston.
