Would you like to have the modern benefits of fuel injection but keep your old reliable flat four engine? Well, the answer is not that far away.

Race Shack has developed a neat bit of kit that provides power and economy with modern driveability from a programmable electronic fuel-injection system.
Starting at £1,200, it includes all you need to get your engine running like a modern car. The single body kit will flow over 150bhp and works on all engine sizes from 1600cc to 2332cc. It comprises a 54mm custom spec Jenvey throttle body; TIG welded laser-cut polished stainless steel manifold (it looks so good it appears factory built); EFI end casting with silicon hose; VW wiring harness with waterproof connectors; performance-adjustable fuel pressure regulator; Bosch performance EFI fuel pump; Accel performance injectors; custom-made CNC fuel rail; ECU and pre-installed flat four engine map; engine and air temp sensors; relay box and link lead; fuel pipe clips and ancillaries.
Race Shack has upgrades available as well, including twin Jenvey throttle bodies (consider the power), Edis distributorless ignition upgrade, an amazing bolt-on turbo kit, plus a good selection of ECUs such as Wolf, Motec, DTA and Omex. Type 3 and 4 fans need not feel deprived either, as Race Shack is developing kits to suit these engines which will be available later this year.

Hi Jon,

I can't see a reason why it wouldn't work. I reckon you would see a great improvement on your fuel economy too!
The best bet is to call race shack on 01684 298700 and fire some questions at them. I'm sure you will find them very helpful.

will this system work ok in my 72 bay running a new remtec 1641 as i would very interested in running an injection system rather than the twin 34 icts that it has at the moment and would the fuel economy be any better.
