Just for Starters

Anyone running a hi-po VW engine may find they have a bit of trouble getting it started. The stock VW starter, while great on stock engines, sometimes doesn't have what it takes to crank that flywheel round and fire up the furnaces, due to their high compression. If this is the case, you may want to invest in a high-torque starter motor. The starters have enough muscle in them to get the engine turning with almost no effort and with less spins than stock. If you are interested in knowing more or want to buy one, give the guys as Street Style & Power or VW Heritage a call. WHO: SSP HOW MUCH: £199.95, plain high-torque geared; £99.95, chrome high-torque not geared CONTACT: 0845 873 7256/8 WEB: www.streetstyleandpower.com
