We've been in touch with Colin 'Tidders' Tidman from Deluxe Motorwerks and he informs us that he has produced a very nice narrowed beam. As with his previous narrowed beams, you'll be able to have tucked-in wheels of up to four inches without any need to modify the inner arches and still be able to run shocks.
Each beam, whether for king and link or ball-joint applications, is made from the best CDS tubing on the market, with Sway-A-Way adjusters fitted internally rather than just chopping a section from the middle of the beam and welding in a complete adjuster.
The difference with these new beams is the extended shock tower. These are now bolt-on, so they can be fitted after the beam is in place, making fitting a lot easier. This also means that, when Colin (or Tidders) gets to this stage, it will be easier to fabricate a six-inch narrowed beam.
Also, the new towers no longer have a rose-joint fitting, so normal-style shocks can be fitted. He will also be designing his own lowered shock in the near future.
Each beam comes powder-coated and fitted with urethane bushes. Tidders can supply all the parts for you to fit your narrowed beam and be on the road in no time.
