Dizzy Lizzy – Volks T

If I mention OldBug (www.oldbug.com) most of you would know I'm talking about the VW agency which sells some of the best VWs in the world. If I say ‘Freak Show', you might feel a little lost. Well, the explanation is that OldBug sponsor the Freak Show every June at the VW Classic in Irvine, California.

So what is the Freak Show all about and why is it sponsored by a company who sell the most desirable VWs in the world? I suppose we should look at what a freak really is. There's no better place to look than the Urban Dictionary. Here's what it said. ‘A freak is someone who doesn't care what other people think and does stuff because they think it's funny. Lots of people think they just want attention, but this isn't true because they're just as strange when they're alone. Most freaks like cheese for some reason.' Any clearer? No, I didn't think so, but their next definition certainly sums up the organiser of the Freak Show and owner of OldBug.com. ‘Freaks: Cool people who are liked for their individuality and natural weirdness, who don't do things because they are hip, but just because it's who they are and what they want to do. I'm in agreement with the Urban Dictionary. This is how I would describe Randy Carlson. A man who does because he can.
Randy is attracted by anything that strays from the norm. Something may look weird, but if you look closely, it will have undergone some very clever fabrication to put it all together - like this Model T or Volks-T as he calls it.
