The crazy attention to detail continues, Simon really has taken my ethos of perfection and run with it. What's really good news for me and the car is Simon is a lot, lot better at prepping a car than I am, and therefore his idea of perfection is a lot more perfect than mine.
While this was going on, the rest of the Creative Coachworks team mounted the 'shell to their rotisserie. Now this is a tool I will definitely invest in for my next restoration. We all know how much fun it is when those red hot balls of mig weld fall on your neck, set fire to your hair (or in my case, what's left of my hair), or worse still get stick in that really soft bit between your fingers (the memory of that still makes me wince!). Well, invest in a rotisserie and suffer these incidents no more! You simple roll the car over and work standing up. How much nicer would prepping the underside of a car be if you didn't have dust dropping into your eyes every couple of minutes. This is another case of Creative Coachworks doing things properly. When it comes to painting the underside of the 'shell they'll simply roll it on to it's side. This means they'll be able to make sure they get proper paint coverage in all areas. Definitely a case of leaving no stone unturned... sorry for the rubbish joke!

I need one of these, rotisseries are the future and not just for chicken's…

With the 'shell on it's side Simon has been detailing away, first stop was under the dash.
