Mahle stroker pistons

Just a quick blog to show you all that I've got my pistons back from John Maher after he machined the tops ever-so-slightly off them to set the deck heights for me. This is so I can run an identical compression ratio in each chamber.

John is possibly the most helpful person I've ever spoken too when it comes to Type 1 engines. He's always given good advice and I've phoned him up many times with questions about carbs, jets, heads, pistons... He is also the guy who supplied all of the engine parts for my current build. I highly recommend

So what's next? Well, having the pistons back means I can get on and finish the 2007cc engine and pop it into the '61, which I hope to do over the next month or two. I'll keep you updated.
