Project 60: Let there be heat

Now I'm the wrong side of 30, things like heaters seem much more important than they did when I was 17.

I remember fondly, scraping the ice off the inside of the front windscreen with a credit card while driving to work! And then snapping my fingers off the steering wheel before exiting the car! But now the idea of that seems, well, ridiculous. I'm having heaters in this car if it kills me.
With the airkewld.com bolt in rear kit you have to re-route the engine to body heater pipes as the upper rear bag cradle blocks the path these pipes take from the factory. I ordered a length of ali fan housing pipe from GSF (www.gsfcarparts.com) as this stuff is cheap, malleable and easy to cut. I then shaped and notched the ali pipe to go over the rear cradle. I'm not a fan of how this stuff looks (it looks as cheap as it is) so I'm working on some options to get it looking more factory. One option is to use some black exhaust wrap as it looks right and will keep the heat inside the pipes. But it's not cheap. I can come back to this though, as at this stage I just need to make sure the pipe could run over the cradle.

Again, I decided to end my time in the workshop with a bit of ‘motivational' work. So I bolted on the rear wings and rear bumper, stuck the ragtop cover on the roof and stood back... This car is going to look pretty silly when it's finished, God only knows what the general public are going to think when this thing comes hovering down the road!
I now have everything to get the front end on air, so in about a month I should be able to show you how the '60 will sit when finished.
