Jon's Ragtop Bug is getting there

VW Beetle Ragtop

The latest on the 1961 Ragtop Beetle project

I've made quite a bit of progress since my last update on the Beetle.
As you can see from the photos below I've no put in the headlamps and indicators (the wiring up the front is now done - I just need to get the rear lights in now), as well as fitted a bit of trim and the running boards.

You will also note the addition of glass! Annoyingly though I have had to take it all out again to put my deluxe trim in though! It hasn't been too bad an ordeal and I only have the screen left to do!

I've also made a start on the interior and fitted the headliner - photos to follow!

So next up is to fit the carpet, put in my quaterlite windows, fit the door cards, pop in the seats, add the rest of the exterior trim, put in the fuel tank, wire in the rear lights, clean up and tune then install the engine, whack the bumpers on, check the electrics and then hopefully go for a spin! Fingers crossed eh?

Beige against the Machine

Not all Cal Lookers need a huge engine to make their point, as this 1956 shows. Its beige bodywork, however, looks the part to a tee
