Trip to The Bus Station

With quality narrowed beams on offer, Jon decided to drop his old one in for some Mark Walker treatment.
On Monday morning I, Jon, decided to head down to Southsea in Portsmouth to visit The Bus Station.
It was a beautiful run down in glorious sunshine and with no hold ups what-so-ever. The run back however presented a snow shower on the A3!
The reason for the trip was twofold; visit the shop and say hello to Mark and to drop off my old king and link beam for a bit of narrowing!
Yes, the '61 Ragtop is going narrow on the front!
While Mark offers up to 5-inches narrower, still running shocks with no body mods, I opted for the 4-inch treatment. I like narrow but not too narrow!
You can read all about the beams for both Bugs and Buses in our online VolksWorld News section
On arrival Mark was talking with a client about his very nice early Bay. I even got to have a ride in it when Mark had to drop the owner off at the station. Very nice indeed!
After having a good chin wag, a nice cup of tea and a look around the workshop and some products, I left Mark with my beam, leaves and tie rods for him to work his magic.
The hope is to have it back in a couple of weeks ready for me to complete the chassis and collect the '61 body from the painters.
