Steve's got a new engine fitted with a Shorrock charger for his project Beetle. But not knowing much about them we want to know more!

This is a call out to all the knowledgeable VW experts out there.
Steve's just picked up a new engine for his Project '60 and is interested to hear if anybody has any information on it.
As already mentioned, it's fitted with a rare Shorrocks supercharger - similar to the one used on the infamous Empi Inch Pincher.
Not many of these expensive superchargers were ever produced and after racking our brains we can't think of a car in this country running one.
The kit is fitted to a 1500cc engine which was running when taken out of a 60s-70s built Beach Buggy about a month ago.
From the information we've managed to uncover, it seems the kit Steve has is complete apart from the air filter.
"This engine is a lovely piece of 60's tuning equipment and is the perfect engine for Project '60", says Steve.
