Open evening for VWH & SSP

We popped along to the new premises of VW Heritage and Street Style and Power for their official opening!

VW Heritage Warehouse

VW Heritage Warehouse

In case you don't know, VW Heritage and Street Style and Power have relocated to a new much larger premises.
Now based in Burgess Hill, the new gaff is much easier to find and has over 12,000 stock lines waiting to be shipped out to buyers.
The aim of the move is to hold more stock but more importantly be even more efficient than they already are.
The many staff that work there now ensure that transactions are smooth from the time you place an order to the time it is taken off the shelf, packed up and shipped out.
All throughout the warehouse there are designated areas for order picking, quality assurance, packing and shipping. Watching the guys put an order in is like watching a clock internals!
While there, I even spied a couple of packages destined for Holland, all nicely packed up and waiting for the shipping container to arrive.
You can also still turn up and place orders over the counter in their new shop area if you so wish.

The main reason for us being there was for the grand opening.
David Ward had invited all the staff, some close friends and a few loyal supporters throughout the years, along to witness the cutting of the ribbon and laid on a good spread of bubbly and food.
It was a good evening with lots of story telling of how the company started and where they moved on to before ending up where they were today.
And of course, there was lots of talk about VWs.
