Why spend years restoring a car when you can buy one already done, like a killer ‘56 Oval on air? That’s how the owner of this months cover star came to be there. Also this month, how to fit (budget) air-ride, two monster motored Splits and two awesome patina cars with a difference, a ’61 Beetle and a ‘76 Brasilia.

We’ve hit the ground running this month – from the best cover we’ve ever produced this issue rolls into a total page tuner. If the skirted ’63 cover star isn’t enough for you there’s the best Late Bay we’ve seen in the form of a unique Jean’s Beetle inspired ’78. If Ghia’s are your bag we’ve a slammed Low Light and super stock Razor Edge. If you like modified VWs the V8 Bay will blow you away and Stumpy’s Bus is something else entirely…

This month’s cover car is big and clever, a high top Bay that’s had massive reconstructive surgery to be able to run super low. As has the ’63 Karmann Ghia and the Swedish import ’63. It’s not all about the lows though as we’ve also got a stock Mouse Grey Split that was built at home and a comprehensive Type 3 buyers guide.

Proper low might sound like street talk, but it’s the best way to describe the stunning Beryl Green ’63 on the cover of this month’s issue. Re-engineered to run low, its one of the highlights in an issue of cool cars. If you’re into late model Type 3s, Split Buses or vintage speed, there’s something to float your boat.

Beat the January blues with the February issue of VolksWorld. This month contains a bit of everything, from a masterclass in Bus slamming in the form of the cover star to a totally stock restored Karmann Ghia to die for. More? How about a Subaru engined 1303 or a technical piece on keeping your Beetle warm this winter? Sorted.

If you like slammed cars you’re in for a treat in this month’s VolksWorld. We’ve got features on a static-slammed ’59 Beetle on steels, a super-low Bay Window on 17-inch rims, a ’55 Beetle dropped on Fuchs and an air-ride ’64 Ghia riding Enkeis. We also take a look at a pair of Zingers and there’s a detailed guide on VW steering wheels.

How low dare you go? Dan Ward sets the bar – quite literally – with his 1959 ‘body dropper’ Split. It’s quite something! Naturally, this being VolksWorld, it’s not the only feature car with a strong gravitational pull. Also included is a Judson-powered Ghia, a DIY-built ’64 Cal Looker, a sweet red Notch and a father-and-son-built ’63 Bug.
